SUMMARY
In this lesson, older
students (6th, 7th, or 8th grade) will create
and deliver an autobiographical, multimedia presentation in another
language. They will then mentor
younger students (3rd, or 4th grade), teaching them the
skills to create a similar presentation.
OBJECTIVES
· To introduce sixth and third grade students to the
concept of a multimedia “All About Me” presentation (including
digital images, drawn objects, clipart, and narrated recordings)
· To enable sixth grade students to work with third
grade students in a technology mentoring environment.
· To improve the multimedia technology skills of sixth
and third grade students
· To improve the Spanish language skills of sixth and
third grade students.
PREREQUISITES
· Sixth graders knows how to create a simple
presentation in HyperStudio or Powerpoint
MATERIALS
· Computers with microphones and speakers
· Spanish (or other language) dictionaries
· Hyperstudio or Powerpoint
· Collection of clipart with a gallery of pets and
animals
